Traffic Anxiety

As a result of a motor vehicle accident, a person can suffer post-traumatic traffic anxiety. The mere thought of driving (or even riding as a passenger in a car) can be extremely unnerving after having been in an MVA. Dr Gray is very experienced in treating this condition, which is not uncommon after a car accident, even among psychologically healthy people.

Dr. Gray's treatment approach for traffic anxiety employs three primary options: 1) rehabilitation-informed psychotherapy; 2) neurofeedback; and 3) medication considerations. Persons find that any one, two, or all three of these options are successful, depending upon their own personal preferences.

A growing percentage of individuals dealing with traffic anxiety are uncomfortable with medication options. Rather, they often prefer the non-medicinal option of psychotherapy and/or neurofeedback. Regardless, Dr. Gray will respect your treatment preference(s) and patiently guide you through the process of recovery.
