Neurofeedback

Neurofeedback (NF) is a cutting-edge technology which is proven effective in successfully treating a number of syndromes. Examples include: depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress. NF also assists with recovery from brain injuries – especially where impaired word-finding, short-term memory issues, and chronic fatigue are symptoms.

With NF, a person receives immediate visual and auditory feedback by means of video games. The EEG feeds neurological information in real time. In this way, the person learns how to normalize abnormal electrical activity in the brain. As a result, symptoms are decreased or resolved. One appeal of NF is that it is a non-medicinal approach.

In addition, NF home-training is an excellent option for persons who live in an area that does not possess NF providers, or who simply wish to save money by becoming trained as NF technicians able to then work with their own family members at home. Dr. Gray's office is glad to offer information on the specifics of NF home-training for interested persons.
